The heart of Roland Park's music program

For over a decade, Mr. Vans Evers has been putting instruments in kids' hands and showing them what they're capable of. He built Roland Park's strings program from the ground up — teaching violin, cello, guitar, and more through the school's IB curriculum — and created nearly 441 video lessons so his students can keep practicing at home.

His students have performed at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, been selected for the Hillsborough County All-County Orchestra, and competed in the Fine Arts Festival. Every one of them started right here.
